Welcome to Denlyn Kennels. We are a small kennel based out of our mixed farm in east central Alberta.

We show and breed for temperament, health, conformation, and performance. My goal is to produce Labradors who are sound in both body and mind and that meet the breed standards

I place great importance in obedience training as it is nearly impossible to do anything with a misbehaving dog. I believe all dogs should have the basic sit, stay ,come, down, heel and be a pleasure to be around. Obedience training/titles are not only a testament to the dog's temperament it may well save the life of your puppy one day.

I strongly encourage everyone to take their puppy to training classes from puppy kindergarten to basic obedience classes.

I breed only the 3 colors recognized by the CKC that being: black, chocolate and yellow. I do not support the movement towards silver Labradors. Please visit Buyer Beware link explaining the issue with dilute Labradors.

All my breeding dogs are tested for hereditary diseases common to the breed that being: EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), CNM( Centronuclear Myopathy), DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), HNPK (Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis) and PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) as well as an echocardiogram, hips and elbows x-rayed and eyes areCERF tested.

The studs are chosen to compliment the bitch and are also tested for the common diseases.
